Hard to believe that in 9
years the QCB BOARDWALK festival & sale has become four things:
First, it is believed to be the Largest Outdoor Continuous Sidewalk Sale
& Festival in all of Metro Vancouver; Second, it is largely
believed that it is now one of the largest recycling, reuse and
repurpose Environmental events, not only in New Westminster but the
lower mainland; Third the QCB is proud that it has remained independent
and funded solely by the QCB, the residents and the many sponsors of the
event; and last -
IT IS A SUPER FUN FAMILY EVENT FULL OF MUSIC, FOOD
AND INCREDIBLE BUYS!
As we approach our 10th
anniversary in 2016, we are looking to hear from you with suggestions on
the kind of things you would love to see at this festival...to take it
to the next level. Let us know what you think would
attract double the people and produce double the fun.
This is the best event of the summer! My family and friends have been coming every years for nine years and wouldn't miss it - can't wait for the 10th! I just want more of the same...demos like the belly dancers & massage, the food, the music, the table for stuff, the community booths are interesting (you can leave out the politicians though), face painting and everything else you have there. It is great to go to an event and know that while I am having fun I am also keeping a ton of stuff out of the landfills. You should get an award for that alone! See you in August.
ReplyDeleteI love this event. It is all I can do to resist buying so many items - they are all that good. And so many different things. I have bought clothing for my grand kids, toys and they love it too. It is amazing how far a twoonie can go with the kids. Thaks QCB.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the best summer events ever. We are sure you will make the 10th year the best Festival and Sale ever. For now, the festival is the biggest Music Festival in New West. It had over 10 groups this year. I loved listening to the young performers and that new rock group Line 49 was awesome.
